  1. Washington (Northern League Division 1) v Shildon (Northern League Division 1)

Step 5 v Step 5

One previous FA Cup meeting in 1991/92 won 3-1 by Shildon

Shildon made the Second Round in 1936/37 whilst Washington have still yet to make it to the First Round ‘Proper’  having reached the Fourth Qualifying Round just once in their 24 campaigns.

 

  1. Ashton United (Northern Premier League Premier Division) v Nantwich Town (Northern Premier League Premier Division)

Step 3 v Step 3

One previous FA Cup meeting in 2007/08 won 3-2 by Nantwich Town.

It is eight years since The Robins exited the FA Cup as early as the 1st Qualifying Round whereas The Dabbers have gone out at this stage of the competition in each of the last four seasons.

First FA Cup meeting between the two clubs.

In their seventh FA Cup campaign Brighouse Town will be looking to equal their best Cup run to the 2nd Qualifying Round achieved three seasons ago. Lancaster City have twice made the Second Round in the past.

 

  1. Blyth Spartans (Northern Premier League Premier Division) v Frickley Athletic (Northern Premier League Premier Division)

Step 3 v Step 3

First FA Cup meeting between the two clubs

Blyth Spartans famously made the 5th Round in 1977/78 season whilst Frickley made the 3rd Round five years later.

 

  1. Hyde United (Northern Premier League Division 1 North) v Colne (Northern Premier League Division 1 North)

Step 4 v Step 4

First FA Cup meeting between the two clubs, although the original Hyde club lost 4-0 to the original Colne club in the 1908/09 season.

The Tigers have reached the 1st Round on three separate occasions and have not exited the FA Cup as early as the 1st Qualifying Round for 23 years. Colne will be looking for the win that would mean equalling their best run to 2nd Qualifying Round in 2004/05.

 

  1. Bishop Auckland (Northern League Division 1) v Ossett Albion (Northern Premier League Division 1 North)

One previous FA Cup meeting in 1981/82 won 4-0 by Bishop Auckland.

Bishop Auckland made the Fourth Round 62 years ago whilst Ossett Albion has fallen one round short of the 1st Round on three separate occasions.

 

  1. Whitby Town (Northern Premier League Premier Division) v Winsford United (Northern Counties East League Premier Division)

Two previous FA Cup meetings between the two clubs with one win each, both by a three goal margin.

Both clubs have reached the Second Round in the past, although Whitby Town has gone out in the 1st Qualifying Round in each of the last three seasons whilst Winsford United are appearing at this stage of the competition for the first time since 2004/05, when they last made the 2nd Qualifying Round.

 

  1. Sheffield (Northern Premier League Division 1 South) v Farsley Celtic (Northern Premier League Division 1 North)

Step 5 v Step 5

First FA Cup meeting between the two clubs although Sheffield were drawn against the original Farsley Celtic three times in the first five years of the 21st Century winning once and losing twice.

Sheffield made the Quarter Finals of the FA Cup three times in the competition’s first seven seasons, the only club to have gone so far competing in this year’s 1st Qualifying Round. A win for The Villagers would equal the best Cup run of the current Farsley Celtic club achieved two years ago when still called Farsley.

 

  1. Marske United (Northern League Division 1) v Marine (Northern Premier League Premier Division)

Step 5 v Step 3

First FA Cup meeting between the two clubs

Marine reached the 3rd Round in 1992/93 whilst Marske United almost made the 1st Round three years ago.

 

  1. Newcastle Benfield (Northern League Division 1) v Bridlington Town (Northern Counties East League Premier Division)

Two previous FA Cup meetings both won 2-1 by Newcastle Benfield.

Both clubs have made it to the 4th Qualifying Round in the past but it is 13 years since The Seasiders went beyond the 1st Qualifying Round.

Colwyn Bay appeared in the 2nd Round 21 years ago whilst Morpeth Town have only ever gone as far as the Fourth Qualifying Round and this will be the 17th year and 16th campaign where they attempt to once again go beyond the 1st Qualifying Round.

Ashton Athletic are appearing in the 1st Qualifying Round for the first time in their 9th FA Cup campaign. Mossley have twice made the 1st Round Proper but have actually gone out in the Preliminary Round in each of the last five seasons.

Handsworth Parramore are appearing in the 1st Qualifying Round for the first time in their 3rd FA Cup campaign, whilst Squires Gate are one win away from achieving their best Cup run for the third time in 17 campaigns.

 

  1. Witton Albion (Northern Premier League Division 1 South) v Buxton (Northern Premier League Premier Division)

The two clubs have been drawn together six times in the FA Cup before this season and the current lower league side Witton Albion has triumphed on all six occasions, scoring 24 goals to 12 in the process, with the last meeting in 1989/90 resulting in a 6-4 scoreline.

Buxton have made it to the 3rd Round in the past and have not failed to go beyond the 1st Qualifying Round in each of their last 10 FA Cup campaigns. Witton Albion have made it to the 2nd Round three times.

 

  1. Billingham Synthonia (Northern League Division 2) v Ossett Town (Northern Premier League Division 1 North)

Although they’ve reached the 1st Round seven times in the past, Synthonia have not gone beyond the 1st Qualifying Round since 2005/06, whilst Ossett Town recorded their best run to the 4th Qualifying Round in that same season.

 

  1. Pontefract Collieries (Northern Counties East League Division 1) v Tadcaster Albion (Northern Premier League Division 1 North)

Step 6 v Step 4

One previous FA Cup meeting in 2011/12 won 3-2 by Tadcaster Albion

In their 21st FA Cup campaign Pontefract Collieries are equalling their best ever Cup run last achieved in 1997/98. The Colls have already beaten two clubs from a higher league to get this far. The Brewers made the 3rd Qualifying Round four years ago.

 

  1. Burscough (Northern Premier League Division 1 North) v Maine Road (North West Counties League Premier Division)

Step 4 v Step 5

The clubs have met twice in the FA Cup before, in successive seasons in 1989/90 and 90/91 with Maine Road being victorious on both occasions.

Maine Road are one win away from equalling their best FA Cup run in their 28th campaign, something they’ve done six times before but not since 2001/02. The Linnets made the Second Round Proper as recently as 2005/06.

One previous FA Cup meeting in 2011/12 won 3-0 by Trafford.

Cheadle Town are one win away from equalling their best ever FA Cup run achieved once in 2007/08. This 20th campaign has already seen victory over one Step 4 club, and Trafford have only ever gone one round further than their opponents albeit on three separate occasions and most recently as 2013/14.

The Linnets have made the 4th Qualifying Round twice in their short FA Cup history.

AFC Mansfield are into the 1st Qualifying Round for the first time ever in their second FA Cup campaign, whilst Stratford have made the 3rd Qualifying Round three times in the past they haven’t been beyond the 1st Qualifying Round since the last time they did it in 2011/12.

Neither side has yet appeared in the ‘Proper’ Rounds of the FA Cup. Olympic have made the 4th Qualifying Round three times whilst Soham have just one appearance in the 3rd Qualifying Round and haven’t gone beyond this stage of the competition for nine years.

The two clubs have been drawn together in the FA Cup eight times before, the most common meeting of this year’s 1st Qualifying Round, with the current lower league club winning six out of the eight encounters. The clubs first met in the competition as far back as 1892/93

Matlock have made the 3rd Round in the past, in 1976/77, whilst Heanor have only gone as far as the 1st Round although they’ve achieved that feat six times, but have not gone beyond 1st Qualifying Round since 1992/93.
